Support Groups

NOTE: Redeemer Counseling Services no longer offers a support groups program. However, we have developed a series of counseling groups called "Renewal Groups" that cover many of the topics addressed by our support groups in the past. See "Group Counseling" for more information. 


ADDITIONAL SUPPORT GROUP RESOURCES

The support groups below are being offered by partner organizations and churches: 

Calvary Baptist Church Support Groups
Calvary Baptist Church's LifeCare Ministries offers a range of recovery groups, including: Boundaries (for those working through relationship boundaries); Grief Share (for those who are grieving a loss); and LifeSkills4Kids (a children's support group for children in distressed families or families in transition). In addition, Calvary Baptist is hosting "The Journey: Abortion Recovery Weekend Retreat". It will take place on Feb 24-26 in Manhattan and will be led by trained counselors. To find out more about this retreat or any of the support groups above, contact Donna Toombs at donna@redeemer.com.

MPSC After-Abortion Care Support Group
Midtown Pregnancy Support Center offers post-abortion support groups. These groups provide an environment for women to speak openly about their past abortions with others who share similar experiences. The purpose of the groups is to provide healing and restoration to women with emotional effects from an abortion. Biblical scripture is used to facilitate healing, but women from all faith backgrounds are welcome. For detailed information, please see the MPSC website. 

UPDATE: The next After-Abortion Care Support Group will be start Tuesday, March 27 from 7:00-8:30PM.
