2013 Community Group Internships (From mid-July, 2013 to mid-July, 2014, 20hrs/Week, a part-time position)

Redeemer is seeking paid interns to support the Community Group Directors and assist with oversight of Community Groups. Each intern will directly assist one Community Group Director with his/her system of leaders and groups, participate in leadership training, and have opportunity to build and teach Redeemer-related classes or initiatives. Qualifications: Must be a growing/mature Christian, deeply rooted in the gospel of grace, embrace Redeemer's doctrine, vision, and core values, be a member of Redeemer, and be considering a future in vocational ministry, a future/current seminarian or grad and must be availability on weekends and evenings, as needed. Web Designer (a contract position)

We are looking for a web designer on a project by project basis for new Redeemer web applications. Must have experience in user interface design. Knowledge of CSS and HTML preferred. Please send your resume and samples to webmaster@redeemer.com.

PHP Web Developer (a contract position)

Community Group Director (Full-time)

Redeemer West Side is seeking a director to oversee and shepherd Community Groups(CG), Leaders, and Leader-Coaches.  Director will be responsible for on-going supervision and pastoral oversight of Leader-Coaches and community groups, teaching and training of leaders, and developing structures and systems for ongoing multiplication of leaders and groups.  Other responsibilities include the gathering and development of lay ministry teams; collaborating with other pastors, C.G. Directors, and the Session on leader development, writing CG studies and curricula, and pastoral care issues; and maintaining visible presence at worship services, coffee hours, and congregational events.  Qualifications:  Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.  Ability to function well as part of a team.  MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).  Theological degree a plus but not required.  Open to both men and women, ordained or non-ordained.   Previous coaching, counseling and ministry experience a plus. West Side Children's Ministry Volunteer Coordinator (Part-Time 15-20 hours per week)

The Volunteer Coordinator for Children's Ministry (CM) would recruit, screen, and train volunteers for CM classes and special events. Candidate would lead recruitment initiatives (volunteer fairs, fliers, annual "Adopt a Volunteer" program, visit community groups, etc.). Plan and implement orientation & training sessions for CM. Lead candidates through the application process (interview, schedule, check references, etc.) and assign qualified volunteers to appropriate classrooms. Act as liaison to parents and plan & implement CM annual events, service projects and special events. Provide on-going training, evaluation and appreciation for current volunteers. Maintain updated list of current volunteers and communicate with other CM staff regarding volunteer involvement. Qualifications: Gospel-oriented heart to serve God, families and children in New York City. Strong project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Four year undergraduate degree. Experience in education and/ or children's ministry in urban setting a plus. Strong comfort and ability to communicate effectively, especially with parents, volunteers and staff. Experience managing efficient and effective volunteer teams. Ability to organize and advance multiple projects at once. Experience planning and executing programs and projects including logistics.
