Care Groups and Seminars

Divorce Care Groups

Needing a safe place to share and process pain from a broken marriage? The Diaconate seeks to minister to men and women in any stage of divorce. Individuals separated or newly-divorced will come together for 10 to 12 weeks in a safe environment for mutual support and a fresh start by diving into Scripture, prayer and a divorce recovery workbook. While the groups will allow for connection to those going through similar circumstances, the main theme of the gatherings will be the heart's response to scripture and prayer. Our hope is that through exposure to the work of the Holy Spirit and reminder of God's character, gospel change can occur in the midst of each individual's journey.

First meeting for women: Thursday, February 2, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Psalm 30

10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
    O Lord, be my helper!”

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
    you have loosed my sackcloth
    and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
    O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

Gospel and Stewardship Seminar

The Gospel and Stewardship Workshop is divided into two parts and is sponsored  by the Redeemer Counseling Services and the Diaconate. The first workshop looks at the Biblical understanding of money. The second workshop gives you the practical tools to enable you to create a sustainable budget and formulate a debt reduction plan. Our goal is to help you move out of debt and into financial freedom. Workshop 1 is a pre-requisite for Workshop 2. Learn more or register.
