Race, the Bible and the Christian Life: A Conversation with Dr. Esau McCaulley, author of Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope

March 10, 2021 from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us on Wednesday, March 10th, at 7 p.m. for our next conversation on Race, the Bible, and the Christian Life with theologian Dr. Esau McCaulley, author of Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope. As Christians we seek to understand what the Bible has to say on issues related to race and injustice. Dr. McCaulley will join us to discuss the importance of reflecting on our own social location when reading the Bible, what African American Biblical interpretation contributes to our collective understanding and what the Bible has to say about complex issues such as policing and being a political witness.
