Public Faith sermon series
In the fall of 2013, Tim Keller led a sermon series on our theme, “Public Faith: Sharing the Hope That’s Within.”
Why a Public Faith? Why do Christians share their faith with others? Is it out of duty or is it out of love?
Tim Keller - September 29, 2013
The Sickness Unto Death What gives life meaning? Is there lasting meaning apart from God?
Facing Doubt Is doubt something to be denounced as a threat to faith? Is it to be valorized as the only mature stance? Can we doubt and believe at the same time?
Knowing God How do we know what we know and how we know it? Do rationalism (“I know what is provable”), experientialism (“I know what I have experienced”), and pragmatism (“I know if I see it work”) help us to know God?
Knowing Good How do we know what is good? Why do we feel so strongly that some things, like violating human rights, are just plain wrong? What is the basis for our strongly held moral beliefs?
Finding God Can we find God through reason alone? Can we genuinely know God without him telling us about himself?
Discovering the Gospel What is the gospel? What does it mean to be saved?
Tim Keller - November 10, 2013
The Saving of Many Lives Are our lives an accident? What is the purpose behind the ups and downs in our lives?
Tim Keller - November 17, 2013
Finding Jesus Is the Bible reliable? Is the Bible authoritatively true?
